In Ryslig all that really changed is that he got turned into a human. And then into a Merperson that eats the energy of people. He won't be remembering his time in Ryslig though and he won't need to eat energy anymore because the Fog isn't here to tell him what to do--
Personality:
✽ What is your character's main motivation? What drives them and keeps them going? The desire to ensure safe and comfortable living for all Cookies. Initially it was for the Cookies of the Republic, but with the threat of Dark Enchantress Cookie looming on the horizon and the Crème Republic's recent alliance with the Kingdom, he's extended his ambitions. He spearheaded the effort to use the Ancient Cookies' Soul Jam as a basis to create magic candies, which enables any Cookie to be powerful enough to defend themselves, and the entire Master Mode storyline is just him and Financier Cookie taking the Pearl Legion out to search for Soul Jam shards across Crispia to ensure they don't fall into the wrong hands.
✽ What is their biggest regret? Why? Honestly? It's probably that he didn't rebel against his father sooner. So much of what he's done has been because it's what his father wanted, but his father is a horribly manipulative and emotionally/verbally abusive bastard so he felt like he sort of had to under threat of punishment. Throw the entire Cookie man in the garbage. All that grooming that Custard Cookie did to make Clotted Cream the perfect little political pawn was beneficial in some ways but it was not worth the abuse, fam.
✽ What is their worst fear? Their greatest comfort? His worst fear is the Republic and all of Earthbread falling to Dark Enchantress Cookie because his own efforts have failed. Also just everything falling to DEC in general, but, you know. He busted his cookie butt to get those magic candies made. Dark Cacao Cookie almost murdered him in the process. He tried so hard and got so far and what if in the end it doesn't even matter??? On a lighter note, his greatest comfort is a nice cup of tea and a cream-topped dessert to end the day. It's the little things.
✽ Top three strengths? Rational thinking. Political prowess. Charisma out the wazoo.
✽ Top three weaknesses? Perfectionism. Overconfidence. Trying to be direct in an effort to express just how severe a situation is and unintentionally insulting and belittling some Ancient Cookies.
✽ What was their last lie? Giving the power of the magic candies to House Oyster instead of giving it to his father, while simultaneously using the power derived from the Soul Jam to create an army, which he'd said that he would not do. It's a double lie! Hooray!
Inventory: Not much! Just the House Custard uniform on his back, and the Cloak of Light on his shoulders. If there's a random scone in his pocket I will laugh.
Abilities: While it's possible that he learned some magic during his upbringing, he's never shown to use it. The Cloak of Light is simultaneously an article of clothing and a weapon. The two coat belts that come from the back split into four during battle and seem to shoot what I can only assume are Light-magic bullets at enemies, and the Cloak itself is used in his combat skill.
His skill in game is described as follows:
"The Cloak of Light, a marvel of the Republic's cutting-edge technology, provides unquestionable advantages in battle. Upon using his skill, Clotted Cream Cookie projects the Light Cage onto the nearest enemy (targets Cookies first), blocking buffs and dealing area damage. The Light Cage cannot be dispelled and can be projected onto Cookies resistant to interrupting effects and prevents them from receiving removable buffs. The Light Cage will also inflict extra damage relative to the target's HP at the end of its duration. While Clotted Cream Cookie is using his skill, he will become resistant to interrupting effects. (DMG relative to Max HP is capped at 300,000)"
We do see this Light Cage used against one of the Elders of the Convocation in-game (gasp! an evil elder? say it isn't so) but it does not cause damage and simply contains her like a jail cell manifested from Light magic, so it can be used in either respect.
